The Thailand star helped his side lift their fifth AFF Cup title, to become the nation with the most AFF Cup wins in the tournament history.
Through a poll involving all South East Asian editions of Goal editorial teams as well as Goal readers, Thailand ace Teerasil Dangda was voted as the Goal AFF 2016 Best Player.
The Muang Thong United striker edged out Xuang Truong Luong of Vietnam and Indonesia captain, Boaz Solossa. Teerasil himself emerged as the tournament top scorer, with a total of six goals.
The award was presented to the former Almeria man on behalf of Goal by Goal Thailand.
