Germany vs. Slovakia: Score and Twitter Reaction from Euro 2016

World champions Germany put on a masterclass to breeze through to the UEFA Euro 2016 quarter-finals on Sunday, as they thrashed Slovakia 3-0 in Lille.

Jerome Boateng opened the scoring in sensational style with just eight minutes on the clock. Although Mesut Ozil squandered the chance to double his side’s lead from the penalty spot just six minutes later, the Germans went in at half time 2-0 up thanks to a Mario Gomez strike.

Julian Draxler then opened his Euro 2016 account with a well-taken second-half strike, as Germany sent out a real statement to their title rivals.
