Borussia Dortmund star Mario Götze has claimed that the Black and Yellows were as good as their domestic rivals Bayern Munich while Jürgen Klopp was in charge.
The 26-year-old became one of the most sought-after midfielders in Europe during a breakthrough three-year spell at the club. Götze's performances at Dortmund eventually convinced Bayern to spend £33m for his signature in 2013, while he scored the winner in the World Cup final in 2014.
However, Götze had to face a number of hurdles since moving to the Allianz Arena five years ago, not least of which was battling a near career-ending illness.
