Barcelona have confirmed that Gerard Pique will miss Saturday’s pre-season friendly against Vissel Kobe in Japan after picking up a bit of a niggle.
The club aren’t too sure how long the defender will be out of action for, but Ernesto Valverde said in his press conference it was just a precautionary measure.
“Gerard Piqué has some discomfort in his left thigh and won’t play in Saturday’s game against Vissel Kobe.
“The evolution of the injury will condition the player’s availability. Coach, Ernesto Valverde explained in his press conference prior to the game: “Piqué won’t play, as a precaution above all.
