Gerard Piqué Injury: Doubt vs. Valencia, OK vs. Chelsea

Gerard Piqué scored, but he picked up a knock in FC Barcelona’s 1-1 draw with Espanyol. Gerard Moreno came flying in as the defender cleared the ball, clattering into his leg, and seemingly injuring him.

There were fears Piqué would be out for the UEFA Champions League match against Chelsea, but tests were done on his knee, and it’s not as bad as it was once feared.

According to Catalunya Ràdio, he has an injury to his outer ligament on his right knee. Piqué is said to be desperate to play the second leg of the cup semifinal, this week against Valencia.
