Barcelona confirmed on Wednesday the awful news that midfielder Marc Bernal will miss the rest of the season due to a torn ACL and meniscus injury on his left knee sustained in the final moments of Tuesday’s La Liga win over Rayo Vallecano.
It has been a difficult day for Barça fans who quickly fell in love with the 17-year-old, who shined in preseason and became a key piece of Hansi Flick’s system with his poise, presence and passing ability in a crucial area of the team.
