Garza returns to Tijuana as Atlas loan ends

The U.S. national team left back has seen his time in Guadalajara come to an end after seeing his season ended early by hip surgery.

Greg Garza is headed back to Tijuana.

Atlas on Thursday announced the club will end Garza's loan after the Apertura campaign, returning the U.S. national team left back to Club Tijuana. Garza logged just three matches after his summer move to Atlas before hip surgery in September ended his campaign.

The 24-year-old has compiled nine caps since debuting for the U.S. in September 2014. He was a part of Jurgen Klinsmann's initial squad for the CONCACAF Gold Cup this past summer, though he was replaced on the roster after making just one appearance during the group stage.
