Garza added to U.S. squad for Gold Cup

The left back, who had already been called into camp to replace the injured Brad Davis, has officially been added to the tournament roster.

Greg Garza is a Gold Cup snub no more.

A mildly surprising omission from the 23-man United States roster for the tournament, Garza was formally added to the squad Thursday as a replacement for injured midfielder Brad Davis.

The Atlas left back had been called into camp earlier this week ahead of the U.S. national team's friendly Friday against Guatemala in Nashville, Tennessee, after Davis went down with a knee injury.
