Mike Magee, who didn't even start the Galaxy's regular-season opener Sunday against D.C. United, was named Major League Soccer's player of the week on Tuesday after coming off the bench at halftime to spark a 4-1 win.
Magee, who came on for a hobbled Giovani dos Santos, played a part in all four Galaxy goals, scoring twice, adding an assist and earning a penalty kick.
A former fan favorite at the StubHub Center, Magee was making his first Galaxy appearance since May 2013, when he was traded to the Chicago Fire for Robbie Rogers.
