The injury-plagued Galaxy, down three starters just two weeks into the Major League Soccer season, began the mending process Tuesday. But the team is unlikely to return to full strength for at least a month.
Midfielder Giovani dos Santos and defender Ashley Cole both trained Tuesday but goalkeeper Dan Kennedy did not, making it unlikely Kennedy would play Saturday against the unbeaten San Jose Earthquakes at the StubHub Center.
Dos Santos and Kennedy both came out of the Galaxy's regular-season opener 10 days ago with what the team has described as muscle strains.
