The Galaxy confirmed Monday what much of the world knew last week, namely that veteran forward Alan Gordon has re-signed and will be back with the team when it opens camp later this month.
Terms of the deal, which Gordon celebrated on social media Friday, were not released.
Gordon's contract ran out at the end of last season, making him part of Major League Soccer's first free-agent class. The Galaxy always intended to re-sign him but talks lasted a little longer than either side anticipated.
Gordon, 34, acquired from the San Jose Earthquakes late in the 2014 season, was a force off the bench last year, scoring 10 times in all competitions.
