The businessman had been a co-owner since 2008, and his purchase of the remaining portion of the Dynamo was made public on Tuesday.
Mexican businessman Gabriel Brenner has acquired the controlling interest in the Houston Dynamo, the NWSL’s Houston Dash and BBVA Compass Stadium.
Brener initially bought 50 percent of the club along with former boxer Oscar De La Hoya in February 2008. The CEO of Brener International Group has now acquired the Anschutz Entertainment Group's 50 percent controlling share in the Dynamo, making him the club's primary owner.
“I am honored to become the new managing partner of the Houston Dynamo,” said Brener in a club release.
