Frenkie de Jong is heading back to Barcelona after been released from the Netherlands squad on “medical grounds.”
The midfielder made his first appearance for the national team in 14 months when he started the 4-0 win over Hungary on Saturday.
De Jong admitted after the game he wouldn’t start the Oranje’s next game but has now been withdrawn from the squad ahead of the match against Bosnia and Herzegovina along with Virgil van Dijk.
“For both Frenkie and Virgil it is better for them to leave the training camp at this moment.
