Frank Lampard Awarded OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours List

Former Chelsea and Manchester City midfielder Frank Lampard has been given the honour of the Order of the British Empire, named Officer ahead of his transfer to New York City FC.

As reported by the Press Association (for the Daily Mail), he was one of many athletes to receive the honour, including cricket star James Anderson and rugby legend Jonny Wilkinson, who was named Commander.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Lampard felt blessed to be given such an honour, saying: "I am delighted to receive this huge honour.
