Former Al Ahly striker Souleymane Coulibaly has joined Scottish side Partick Thistle on a one-year deal.
The 23-year-old joins Partick Thistle one year after he fled Egypt just four months into his three-and-a-half year contract with Al Ahly last year, saying he feared his life.
Following his absconding, Al Ahly reported the Ivorian to Fifa who was then ordered to pay a fine of $1.4 million.
Although it is yet unclear if he managed to pay the fine, Coulibaly has found a new home in Scotland where he previously turned out for Kilmarnock.
The completion of his move is however subject to international clearance, according to Partick Thistle.
