Glenn Hoddle has been taken to hospital after having fallen seriously ill on Saturday and, while his condition is classified as serious, the former England manager is responding well to treatment.
Hoddle, who turned 61 on Saturday, was preparing for work in his role as a television pundit for BT Sport when he was taken to hospital.
The UK-based broadcaster's main presenter Jake Humphrey later confirmed the news on Twitter, announcing BT's usual afternoon schedule had been cancelled ahead of the Premier League game between Leicester City and West Ham.
