Elano Blumer has been appointed as the interim manager of Brazilian giants FC Santos after head coach Dorival Junior was sacked on Saturday. Junior was appointed Santos boss for a second time in July 2015 and in his two spells, he guided the team to 111 wins, 44 losses and 34 draws.
The Brazilian, who hung up his boots last year in November, joined the club’s technical staff in January.
Santos are placed 16th on the Brazilian Serie A table with the latest defeat coming against Corinthians following which Dorival was asked to leave.
