Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino allegedly has a €98m release clause in his Liverpool contract, according to a report published in Le Soir as part of the Football Leaks series.
The most interesting part of his clause is that any club in this world can sign him if they meet his buy-out clause, except Premier League rivals Arsenal.
The newspaper hasn’t attached any copy of Firmino’s contract to prove the existence of an anti-Arsenal clause, but in the paper they mentioned a line – “if the club that is interested is not Arsenal” – which seems to have been taken directly from the contract.
