FMF could name new Mexico manager as late as 2019

The Mexican Federation seems to be in no rush to replace Juan Carlos Osorio. The FMF will reportedly wait until late in the year or early 2019 to officially name his replacement.

The news comes as El Tri get ready to take on Uruguay under interim manager Ricardo “Tuca” Ferretti. Ferretti is set to take the role of head coach for Mexico’s remaining six games of 2018.

Speaking of Ferretti, another report from ESPN journalist Rafael Ramos insists that Ferretti remains the FMF’s top target. Although Ferretti has reiterated his lack of desire to be named permanent manager of El Tri, FMF president Yon de Luis is apparently willing to pull all the strings necessary to get Tuca on board.
