Floro stresses Canadian 'focus' against Belize

The Spaniard does not want his side to underestimate the 123rd-ranked Central Americans ahead of a pair of World Cup qualifiers.

TORONTO — If Benito Floro is taking Belize lightly, he's certainly not letting on.

The head coach of Canada's men's national team spoke to reporters Tuesday via a teleconference from the team's training base an hour north of BMO Field, and he stressed the importance of not underestimating the opponent.

In this case, the opponent is Belize, the tiny Central American country that represents the next hurdle for Floro's squad on the long road to Russia 2018.
