Floro: Canadian Under-23 team 'can compete with anyone'

The national team coach believes his side has what it takes to advance out of October's Olympic qualification tournament.

If Benito Floro has any reservations about Canada's men's Under-23 team qualifying for next year's Olympic Games, he's not letting on.

The Spaniard, who will pull double duty in October as the coach of the U-23s as well as continuing to lead the full national side, said that both groups in the CONCACAF tournament are roughly equal in difficulty. Canada is slotted into Group A with Cuba, Panama and the host USA, and Floro said he is not concerned with the make up of either group.
