ATLANTA -- On a night that saw an American referee botch a key call that ruined the CONCACAF Gold Cup's other semifinal match, it was the U.S. national team that delivered an imcomplete and ultimately inadequate performance in a game it new full well would be a difficult one.

Jamaica beating the U.S. on American soil for the first time should be considered surprising, but in many ways it wasn't. The U.S. delivered far too many disappointing team efforts in this Gold Cup, while Jamaica has easily been the most consistent team in the tournament.
