David Amoyal of GianlucaDiMarzio.com had reported on April 6 that former Sampdoria coach Sinisa Mihajlovic would take over the vacant role. He led the blucerchiati to a seventh-place finish during the 2014-15 campaign, with Inzaghi's Milan finishing four points behind in 10th.
