FRISCO, Texas — FC Dallas and the New England Revolution have a lot in common. Some of that is positive. Both are original MLS teams, owned by groups that also count NFL teams among their assets, are now coached by a beloved former player and are producing quality homegrown players.
On a less positive note, despite being in the league since its inception in 1996, both clubs have lifted a major trophy just once.
