Aston Villa are looking to wrap up the deal for Marseille midfielder Morgan Sanson in the January transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The reputed Italian journalist has claimed on Twitter that Villa ‘confident’ of completing the signing of the 26-year-old midfielder.
Dean Smith’s side have entered negotiations with the French club, and they are looking to find an agreement (both the club and with the player) in the next few days.
We reported yesterday that Sanson is expected to cost in the region of £13-18m, and Marseille are looking to use the money to sign Arkadiusz Krystian from Napoli.
