The U.S. national team defender angered coach Jurgen Klinsmann when he asked to be subbed out of last Saturday's CONCACAF Cup.
Following Tuesday's loss to Costa Rica, U.S. national team coach Jurgen Klinsmann asked for a few days to fully judge the outcome of his feud with Fabian Johnson.
"If you want to test it out, then see if he's playing on the weekend and you'll have your answer," Klinsmann said.
On Saturday, the answer came. Johnson started and played the full match as Borussia Monchengladbach won 5-1 against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Johnson asked out of last weekend's CONCACAF Cup against Mexico, forcing Klinsmann to sub him out of the match in the 111th minute.
