The Cameroonian still had two years to run on his contract with Sampdoria but is now bound for Turkey.
Sampdoria striker Samuel Eto'o has agreed to join newly-promoted Super Lig outfit Antalyaspor.
The Cameroonian only arrived in Genoa during the January transfer window, penning a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Serie A side.
However, on Wednesday, Antalyaspor posted a photo on its official Facebook page showing Eto'o about to board a private jet with club officials.
"A deal has been agreed in principle with the footballer Samuel Eto'o," the accompanying text read.
