Iceland stunned a poor England side at the Stade de Nice on Monday, coming from behind to beat them 2-1 and reach the quarter-finals of UEFA Euro 2016.
Wayne Rooney opened the scoring with a penalty after four minutes, but just 34 seconds after the restart, Ragnar Sigurdsson equalised from a close-range volley and Kolbeinn Sigthorsson soon fired Iceland in front.
After the breathless opening period, the Three Lions were once again faced with the prospect of breaking down a side that packed men behind the ball. As they were against Russia and Slovakia, England found themselves frustrated at their inability to seriously trouble the opposition's goal.
