England legend cites Spurs ace as key to Three Lions’ World Cup hopes

Former England international Kevin Keegan believes that the Three Lions’ FIFA World Cup dreams will receive a big blow if Harry Kane got injured.

Keegan of course is well aware of the repercussions of having one of your best players getting injured during a major international tournament. The former Newcastle United manager, along with Trevor Brooking, suffered unfortunate injuries that diminished England’s chances in the 1982 World Cup in Spain.

Harry Kane and Dele Alli, arguably the modern day equivalent of Keegan and Brooking, have established themselves as two of the most important players in the Three Lions’ team sheet.
