Ellis calls 31 for U.S. matches against Brazil

Several young players have earned a recall to the national team as some veterans bid the squad goodbye.

The celebration of the World Cup title continues, but there will be some new faces for the United States women's national team this month.

Head coach Jill Ellis has called up 31 players to face Brazil on Oct. 21 in Seattle and Oct. 25 in Orlando as the United States' victory tour continues.

All 23 World Cup winners are on the team along with eight players who were not in Canada. Shannon Boxx and Lauren Holiday are playing their final matches with the Stars and Stripes, after announcing international retirement, and it appears the process of replacing those mainstays is beginning.
