Pumas returned to the winning ways after four straight losses in Liga MX by defeating Puebla by a 3-1 score. Puebla had a good start but went down a man and Pumas took advantage to give Pumas new coach, Efrain Juarez, a win in his Liga MX debut. Pumas will now travel to Costa Rica to face Alajuelense in the return leg of their Round of 16 series while Puebla will remain home to prepare for another tough match, this time against Toluca.
The 1st half started with Pumas coming out with an offensive starting 11 including Rogelio Funes Mori and Guillermo Martinez up top from the start.
