Former Netherlands and Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar says he is happy with the recent evolution of goalkeepers and the record fees being paid for them.
Premier League sides Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea all set the record fee for a goalkeeper within the last 14-months.
City were the first to break the record when they paid Benfica $45 million for Ederson in June 2017. Liverpool upped the ante in the recent transfer window by splashing $84 million for Roma's Alisson, but just under a month later, Chelsea set a new record by paying Athletic Bilbao $91 million for Kepa Arrizabalaga.
