It was recently announced that Hirving ‘Chucky’ Lozano has signed with expansion team San Diego FC of the MLS. He will continue to play with PSV for the remainder of the year and then in 2025 he will make the move to the USA when San Diego plays their inaugural season. Lozano isn’t the first young Mexican player to leave Europe to play in the U.S. or Mexico. It has actually become a trend as multiple young players have left their European clubs over the last year and it doesn’t look like it’s stopping any time soon. It begs the question, does the FMF have a situation at hand with their young Mexican players?
