The Golden Ball trophy won by Argentinian soccer legend Diego Maradona at the 1986 FIFA World Cup is set to go up for auction in June.
According to Reuters (h/t ESPN), the late soccer star's Golden Ball will be auctioned off by Aguttes auction house in France on June 6, and while the exact value is not known, it is expected to be sold for "millions" of dollars.
French newspaper L'Equipe (h/t ESPN) reported that Mardona's Golden Ball was stolen in the past, however, it "resurfaced among several trophy lots in an auction room.
