The season-ending knee injury to Marc-André ter Stegen has created some doubt about the future of the goalkeeper position at Barcelona, and one specific name was mentioned as a potential replacement for next summer: Diogo Costa, starting shot-stopper for FC Porto and the Portugal national team.
But Barça sporting director (and Porto legend) Deco has quickly shut down the rumors, saying he still has complete faith in Ter Stegen to recover from his injury and come back to his best next season.
“We have Ter Stegen. I don’t see any goalkeepers right now because when Marc is fit we’re not going to sign anyone for him.
