Barcelona took a step closer to signing Nico Williams on Wednesday as Deco met with the Athletic Club star’s agent, Félix Tainta, in Zaragoza.
Gerard Romero is reporting that Barca have made their offer to Williams and are now hoping to agree terms, although there are English clubs still in the mix.
The meeting lasted for several hours and came at the request of president Joan Laporta who is eager to get the transfer wrapped up as quickly as possible.
Laporta has already claimed his club have the finances available to sign Williams, and it seems he’s in a rush to get the deal done.
