Wolfsburg manager Klaus Allofs has indicated that the Premier League club has made progress in the pursuit of the Belgium international over the last 24 hours.
Kevin De Bruyne is set to undergo a medical on Friday as Manchester City edges closer to finally completing a deal to sign the Wolfsburg playmaker.
City identified De Bruyne as a primary target ahead of the summer and has pursued the Belgian throughout the transfer window.
Wolfsburg manager Klaus Allofs suggested on Thursday morning that while De Bruyne was keen to join City, a deal was yet to be agreed.
