D.C. United riding momentum as playoffs approach

Having snapped an 0-5-1 skid, United picked up its second straight win Sunday with a 4-0 thrashing of the Chicago Fire.

WASHINGTON — Ben Olsen said he wasn't worried about scenarios or seeding. In the buildup to D.C. United's meeting with the Chicago Fire, the coach's message was clear: The match was more about momentum than anything else. Talk of byes and home-field advantage came second.

After United's 4-0 thrashing of the Fire on Saturday clinched at least one home playoff game for his club, Olsen acknowledged he hadn't been 100 percent forthcoming with the media on that topic.
