The home side hit Vancouver for four goals in its first MLS victory of 2016.
WASHINGTON — Before Saturday night, it had been nine games in a row across all competitions that D.C. United had failed to score more than one goal in a game.
Against the Vancouver Whitecaps at RFK Stadium, however, United broke out in a much-needed 4-0 victory. It was the club's first MLS win of the season.
Facing a depleted side missing Pedro Morales and Matias Laba in central midfield, United controlled the game and out-shot its opponent 24-7, and 13-1 in terms of shots on goal.
