The former soccer star becomes only the third non-actor to win the magazine honor that has been awarded annually since 1985.
David Beckham scored big time Tuesday when he became the first athlete to be named People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive.
Beckham, 40, has modeled for Calvin Klein and H&M since retiring from professional soccer in 2013 and was introduced as 2015's honoree during Jimmy Kimmel Live!
“It’s the best moment of my career,” Beckham said half-jokingly. “I can’t believe it.”
