Everton midfielder Darron Gibson is in hot water stemming from allegations of a hit-and-run that occurred Aug. 16 in Altrincham, Cheshire.
According to BBC News, police apprehended Gibson after he allegedly struck a cyclist and a gas pump with "excess alcohol" in his system.
BBC added that Gibson will face three charges in Trafford Magistrates' Court on Sept. 1, including driving with excess alcohol, driving without due care and attention and failing to stop after a road traffic collision.
"This is in relation to an incident on Sunday August 16 where police were called to reports that a car had collided with a cyclist on Park Road, Trafford, and failed to stop before pulling into a petrol station on nearby Dunham Road and colliding with a pump," a Greater Manchester police spokesman said, per BBC News.
