The Timbers midfielder is set for his debut cap for his adopted country, while Fabian Johnson returns.

Portland Timbers midfielder Darlington Nagbe is set to make his much-anticipated debut for the United States national team after being called in by Jurgen Klinsmann on Friday, while Fabian Johnson returns after a controversial exit a month ago.

The Liberian-born Nagbe officially became a citizen of the United States back in September and is now eligible to play for his adopted nation.

Nagbe could bring pace and creativity from the flanks or in the central midfield - the latter is where he has lined up with the Timbers in recent weeks – either of which would be helpful to a U.
