All sorts of excuses are being made for England's poor performances at Euro 2016, but there are no excuses for bad hygiene.
England and Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is clearly one who likes to "stay fresh" during a game and has revealed in an interview with GQ (h/t Sky Sports) that he sprays fragrance on his kit before matches.
He said: "People might think it's strange, but I like smelling it, so it's not about what anyone else thinks. Fragrance probably shows people who you are as much as your clothes do.
