MOSCOW (AP) -- CSKA Moscow qualified for the Champions League on Saturday on the final day of the Russian Premier League season.
CSKA had been set to miss out on a Champions League place until the 88th minute, when Swedish midfielder Pontus Wernbloom scored to make it 1-1 against FC Rostov.
That was enough to give CSKA Russia's second Champions League spot ahead of FC Krasnodar, which drew 1-1 with Dynamo Moscow.
Russian champion Zenit St. Petersburg, which wrapped up the title on May 17, ended its season by beating Lokomotiv Moscow 1-0.
At the bottom of the league, Torpedo Moscow and Arsenal Tula are relegated.
