TIJUANA, Mexico — The hometown hero left victorious again. Though the Estadio Caliente faithful applauded him once more, they weren't happy to see him win.
Joe Corona, the San Diego boy who helped Club Tijuana win promotion to Mexico's top division and then win the darn thing, was back on the Estadio Caliente turf. But instead of helping the Xolos to another league win, he was wearing the opposite colors Tuesday in Veracruz's 3-1 triumph against Tijuana.
