Real Madrid’s clash with Celta Vigo on Wednesday has been hit with fresh controversy after the RFEF confirmed Nacho Fernandez is free to play for los Blancos.
The defender had been expected to miss out due to suspension after picking his fifth yellow card of the season against Sevilla last time out but was included in the Madrid squad.
Madrid appealed the suspension believing it was undeserved and have now seen the yellow card rescinded, allowing Nacho to play tonight.
The decision will not go down well at Camp Nou particularly after the club were unsuccessful with their appeals to reduce Neymar’s ban last month, which saw him miss El Clasico.
