Controlled Explosion at Stade De France Before France vs. Iceland Euro 2016

French police have reportedly conducted a controlled explosion near the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, near Paris, just hours before the 2016 UEFA European Championship quarter-final match between Iceland and hosts France.

According to MailOnline's Darren Boyle, fans making their way toward the stadium heard an explosion around 5 p.m. BST. The report stated a "suspicious car" was discovered close to the stadium.

The Daily Telegraph's Paul Hayward described what he heard:

Controlled explosion near the Stade de France 5.32pm Paris time. Loud enough to sound like an uncontrolled one.
