Connor Lade out for season with torn ACL

The New Jersey native has become an important player for the Red Bulls, making his mark at left back in the 2016 season.

The New York Red Bulls have announced that defender Connor Lade will miss the rest of the season due to a torn ACL.

Lade, 26, suffered the injury in Sunday's 2-2 draw at the LA Galaxy. He will undergo surgery later this month.

The homegrown player has been an important piece for the Red Bulls this season, making 20 appearances and 16 starts across all competitions in 2016.
