CONCACAF Watch: Jamaica comeback creates tough group but no cakewalks in WCQ

Group B looks like the most difficult World Cup qualification group, but there are no easy paths to the Hex, writes Jon Arnold.

Nicaraguans and supporters of the underdog weren’t the only ones crushed to see Simon Dawkins’ smash home a goal just before the end of the regulation. The 89th-minute goal from the former San Jose Earthquake midfielder spared the Reggae Boyz an embarrassing third-round exit and kept the dream of Russia 2018 alive for Jamaica but in the process created a very difficult fourth-round group.

The groups were settled earlier this week, with the second legs of the third rounds taking place Tuesday.
