CONCACAF Champions League Review: Seattle Sounders, D.C. United win late

The Seattle Sounders and D.C. United triumphed in dramatic fashion, while defending champion Club America made it two victories from two matches.

The Seattle Sounders produced a memorable comeback to overcome Honduran visitor Olimpia 2-1 in CONCACAF Champions League action Wednesday.

The Sounders, who played out a 1-1 draw against the Vancouver Whitecaps last time out in Group F, appeared destined for defeat following Alberto Elis' fifth-minute opener.

But substitute Brad Evans had other ideas, netting a 97th-minute penalty after fellow second-half introduction Erik Friberg has equalized seven minutes earlier in Seattle. Evans exchanged words with Olimpia goalkeeper Noel Valladares after the spot kick, prompting a heated scuffle before the final whistle.
